A Few of Our Favorite Dining Spots

The Gettysburger Company

35 Chambersburg St, Gettysburg, PA

(717) 337-3739

An old-school restaurant serving jumbo juicy burgers made from hand-rolled ground beef, mouthwatering appetizers, and draft beer.

Our suggestion: Start with a basket of beer cheese fries and some mac and cheese bites before sinking your teeth into their 1863 burger. A burger with lettuce topped with a crab cake and cheddar cheese, served on a Triple Decker Sesame Seed Roll.

Gettysburg Eddie's

217 Steinwehr Ave, Gettysburg, PA

(717) 334-1100

Large screen TVs line this casual spot where American fare is on the menu and Major League Baseball is the main course.

Tommy's Pizza

105 Steinwehr Ave, Gettysburg, PA

(717) 334-8966

This family-run pizza joint serves up subs, hot wings, specialty pies, and draft beer to wash it all down with.

The Upper Crust

19 York St, Gettysburg, PA

(717) 549-2444

A lively modern bistro in an industrial setting, serving up wood-fired pizzas alongside craft cocktails and plenty of vino.

We suggest going for something a little different like the "Smoked Chicken Pizza".

One Lincoln

1 Lincoln Square, Gettysburg, PA

(717) 338-5455

An upscale eatery serving "traditional favorites with a modern twist", located right on Lincoln square. A copper art installation hangs opposite walls covered in Abraham Lincoln's handwriting.

Open for breakfast lunch and dinner, and located directly next to the majestic theatre, this is the perfect meeting spot for post-tour and pre-theatre sustenance.

Blue and Gray Bar and Grill

2 Baltimore St, Gettysburg, PA

(717) 334-1999

This Civil War-themed restaurant and bar, steps from the battlefield, serving up hearty fare with a side of History. Burgers are separated into two categories: Union and Confederate, and are all named after Generals. They also have a variety of draft local and imported beers and festive cocktails.

We suggest getting some savory sharables for the table like bacon-wrapped BBQ Shrimp and fried pickles. Then, move on to one of their massive burgers like the "The General Alexander Webb Burger" with a garlic pepper rub, jalapeno, bacon cream cheese and is served on a pretzel roll.

Dobbin House Tavern

89 Steinwehr Ave, Gettysburg, PA

(717) 334-2100

Time travel back to the 1700s in the oldest standing historical building within town limits and enjoy hearty food made from locally-sourced ingredients and fun cocktails. One of our personal favorites, Dobbin House Tavern, offers two truly immersive dining experiences under one historic roof where even the staff are dressed for the century.

The Alexander Dobbin Room is the perfect candle-lit fine dining spot for a romantic, intimate dinner.

"Dine in six historic rooms: The Dining Room, Library, Parlor, Study, Spinning Room, and Bedroom (wherein one can actually dine in bed!)."

The Spring House Tavern offers more casual fare in a colonial stone-walled tavern. Our favorite appetizer at the tavern is their "Warm Maryland Colony Crab Dip".

Garryowen Irish Pub

126 Chhambersburg St, Gettysburg, PA

(717) 337-2719

From the Mahogany bar to the selection of 120+ whiskeys and a cozy fireplace, Gary Owens is everything you want in a traditional Irish pub and more! Sip on a cold one from a large selection of international and domestic beer with the everpresent notion that the pub can break out into song at any point. Sink your teeth into some traditional "Bangers & Mash" or any of the other hearty authentic selections prepared lovingly from the owner's own family recipes.

And the music? take it from them:

"The first and third Sundays of each month are a special treat for lovers of Irish music with a Traditional Irish Seisiun from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. We also feature live music on Friday and Saturday nights!"

Mansion House 1757

15 W Main St, Fairfield, PA

(717) 642-5410

A truly upscale fine dining experience that will make any occasion special. The elegant atmosphere and palate-igniting menu have earned them the Open Tables "Diners Choice Award for 2022, and it's no surprise. The menu, designed by Executive Chef George Keeny and his son, is a rotating kaleidoscope of locally sourced ingredients and flavors. Outdoor seating is available seasonally.

Our ideal dinner: Start with one of many hearty soups and hand-crafted, woodfired sourdough bread service. Move on to the bone-in pork chop with Maytag blue cheese-roasted garlic butter. And end with their local apple dutch cobbler with vanilla ice cream!
